China Township with a population topping 3,150, offers peace and quiet. Over the past few years the township has spent most of its monies on road projects but it is now planning to construct a joint water plant with East China and a bike path connecting to St. Clair and East China. Demographics

Business: The lucrative industrial tax base is dominated by Detroit Edison’s Belle River Power Plant, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company and Masco Tech.

Shopping: There are several stores in the township. Many people head to Richmond, Marine City or St. Clair for shopping.

Parks: There is a park behind the township hall with soccer and basketball facilities, playground equipment and a picnic area with a pavilion.

Big Events: All are hosted by the township.
